A new year always prompts the question of what trends will emerge. We spoke to our in-house design team and the team in our new London showroom for their predictions for 2025. Together, they produced an eclectic and inspiring mix of looks, and ways to achieve them, for you to explore here. Enjoy.
Pantone Colour of the Year: Mocha Mousse
For 2025, the Pantone Color Institute selected PANTONE 17-1230 “Mocha Mousse” as its Colour of the Year. This warming, brown hue imbued with richness “nurtures us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, answering our desire for comfort”.
We couldn’t agree more, we were in fact ahead of this trend as we used a similar tone, ‘Mummy’ by Edward Bulmer to paint the interior of our new London showroom!
To realise Mocha Mousse in your projects, Head of Design Rebecca directs you towards warm earthy coloured surfaces such as terracotta, blonde woods like our Saint Wood Rustic Honey and lighter brown tiles including Bordeaux Argento Flags.

Stone drenching
You may not have heard of “stone drenching” but this new trend for 2025 interiors is already proving highly popular. Stone drenching is the use of large porcelain and marble slabs for expansive walk-in showers and wet rooms, effectively drenching the space with a natural stone aesthetic.
Molly, Project Consultant and Interior Designer explains “mixing both natural and porcelain stones works incredibly well, not only for showers and bathrooms, but also for kitchen splashbacks and worktops.”
Swimming pool areas and large hallways and entranceways can also impress with stone drenching.

Sustainability: Reclaimed
Sustainability is rising fast in terms of importance to interior designers and our eco-conscious clients. Reinventing and reimagining reclaimed stone is the green way to build and decorate. Our team is especially enthusiastic about promoting the use of reclaimed products for interiors projects. “Repurposing an antique floor for 21st century living is tremendously satisfying and is 100% authentic. You give it new life, build on its rich history, add to its wonderful patina and do your bit for the environment” says Rebecca.
Our Reclaimed Collection contains everything from rare 18th century Genuine Antique English Reclaimed Flags to Genuine Antique Lyon Terracotta handmade tiles reclaimed from houses and farms throughout Europe.

Chequer flooring
Originating from Roman villas and Renaissance palaces, chequer flooring has re-emerged as a strong trend for 2025. To be truthful, the popularity of this patterned flooring has rarely abated. Tamas at our London showroom in Belgravia is a big exponent of the look: “Chequered marble floors are perfect for creating a statement hallway. They instantly bring a bold sense of grandeur and history.”
To realise a classical chequer look in marble, we recommend Venetian Black and Venetian White. If you prefer porcelain, we also offer Venetian Porcelain in not only Black and White, but also Terracotta, Blue and Sand for almost infinite design possibilities.
Our London showroom has a range of inspirational chequer options on display, including our English Heritage Collection. We can also offer bespoke chequer patterns selecting from the wide range of colours, sizes and finishes available across our complete collection.

Geometric Mosaics
Sixty years on, patterns inspired by the swinging 60s are set to make an impact this year. Brace yourself for bold geometric mosaics in retro colour palettes. These are available in different mediums, made by both hand and machine using terracotta.
Nicola, manager of our new London showroom tips this trend to take traction. “1960s patterned mosaics? Clients love the new marble mosaics we have available in London and will be key for 2025”
Capturing the mood of the decade, our Nine 50 Italian collection is exclusive to our London showroom at 225 Ebury Street, off Pimlico Road in Belgravia.

Warm whites
White can be a little stark for many people’s tastes, but in 2025, homeowners and designers are softening things with wonderfully inviting warm whites. These project modernity but dial down the lumens with a homely ethereal glow.
Rebecca cited numerous options for achieving this look. “Chateaux White recreates the subtlety of natural limestone found at historic French châteaux of the Loire Valley. Illusion White is a strong yet delicate looking porcelain tile that mimics the strata, fossil shell impressions, limestone veins and mineral nuances of the real thing.
Inspired by nature, born from technology, Campagne is an exciting new addition to our porcelain collection which is considered to be one of the most beautiful flooring tiles in the world.”

Artisanal rustic
“The interior world’s love of natural stone will ramp up in 2025” predicts Donna in our London showroom. Her theory is supported by a surge in popularity in a look called Artisanal Rustic which uses textured, chiselled or tumbled natural stone in interesting, sometimes dramatic ways. “Rough, textural natural beauty works so well in interiors, especially when you contrast it with contrasting décor.”
Examples of these surfaces include Bordeaux Argento Herringbone inspired by antique flooring and Biblical Ivory limestone with a fascinating chiselled finish. You can add real drama too with Nero Antica rugged black limestone with a distressed finish and tumbled edge.
There are many more options to inspire in our natural stone collection.
